Committed to building a better future for Afghanistan, the Bayat Foundation has undertaken a number of projects related to health care, women, families, education, and clean water. Many Afghan people struggle with a lack of access to clean water, and poor sanitation has led to many health crises. Natural disasters and other forms of environmental damage have made the situation even worse for many people in Afghanistan. To address the need for reliable sources of clean water, the Bayat Foundation has provided for the creation of new water wells in several different regions of the country.

Many of the foundation’s projects have focused on districts in Kabul in need of clean water. With the help of various philanthropists, the foundation has built wells in Kabul’s 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, and 15th districts. The well in the third district was completed next to Said Ismail Balkhi High School to allow students to have a drink of fresh water between classes, which will help them concentrate on their studies. The organization has also constructed wells in the Dashte-e-Barchi and Arzan-Qemat areas of Kabul, as well as Qalae Barqe Village and Qala e Shahda.

Outside of Kabul, the Bayat Foundation constructed a well in the Barek Ab district in Parwan Province, as well as two wells in Herat City. The organization looks forward to working in other regions of the country in order to ensure that all Afghan people have safe, clean, and reliable sources of drinking water.

The leaders of the Bayat Foundation consider issues related the environment and clean water a central concern for the future of the nation. The foundation encourages individuals to think about donating to the cause of constructing water wells for the Afghan people, to guarantee access to clean drinking water and thereby improve the overall health of the nation.
